VFX Line Producer

The visual effects Line Producer is central to VFX project management. They provide a detailed plan for the delivery of a project to the VFX producer, supervisors and individual artists, as well as help implement tasks and targets necessary for delivering projects on time.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Producer, Leads and Supervisors to create the project schedule
  • Oversee Coordinators and ensure the good organisation of dailies, rounds and meetings
  • Keep the production database updated
  • Communicate changes to client sessions, dailies or meetings
  • Communicate information efficiently to crew and other
  • Ensure communication flow from the Supervisor to the Leads and crew
  • Plan resources with the VFX Producer, supervisors and heads of department
  • Oversee the execution of client deliveries for temps and finals
  • Maintain an accurate summary of the project’s progress
Essential Skills:
  • Experience working as a VFX Coordinator or Line Producer in Feature Film or TV productions
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience of meeting deadlines and adapting to changing timelines
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting tasks
  • Experience in working with databases
  • Experience in managing artists and clients
  • Good Understanding of the VFX Feature Film production pipeline
  • Previous scheduling experience
  • Knowledge of FTP software
  • Knowledge of MS Office packages
Additional Skills:
  • Experience working with Shotgun software
  • HTML / Wiki skills
  • Knowledge of Filemaker
